Types of Ganesh Idols and Where to Place Them
Keeping a Ganesh Idol at home is
supposed to remove obstacles, negate evil energy, and bring in good luck,
health, and prosperity. However, listed below are some dos and don’ts that you
must follow while placing different types of Ganesh Idols at your home to make
sure you don’t cancel out the good energy and blessings:
Ø Placing at Entrance: Placing a Ganesh idol at
the entrance of the house may seem like a welcoming gesture for guests but you
need to make sure that the back of the statue is not facing any room of the
house as that will result in a decline in prosperity. For this reason, Ganesh
idols are placed in pairs facing back to back with each other to benefit from
it and bring home good fortune.
Ø Silver Idol: Silver Ganesh
Idol brings home fame if placed in the west, southeast, or northeast
direction. The south or southwest direction should be completely avoided.
Ø Copper Idol: If you are planning to
start a family but are facing difficulties, you should get a copper Ganesh idol
and place it in the east or south of the house to fulfill your desire to have
offspring.
Ø Wood Idol: The Wooden Ganesh brings home health and success if placed in the east, northeast, or north of the house. Remember to completely avoid placing it in the southeast direction.
Clay Ganesha: The clay Ganesh idol takes away obstacles and paves way for health and success. This should be kept in the southwest direction. For a clay idol, avoid north or west of the house.
Make sure that you are
sticking to the exact location for the positioning of the idol to avoid
attracting bad luck and keeping the way for prosperity and success open.
